I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
