19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a difficult year, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 victories at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children together, so to win a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had caused observers to question if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
He defended 4 early break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
